We are inviting you to escape from the busy city life for one day. Let’s visit together the beautiful Western part of the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria. Because there among the picturesque nature are situated the Leshten and Kovachevitsa villages. So let’s spend a day in the lovely Rhodope Mountains.

A day in the beautiful Rhodope Mountains

The Rhodope Mountains have a special charm which we will experience in this one day trip. While we go for a walk, you can capture the beauty of the small streets, the village houses and the panorama views in the area. So do not forget your camera. And enjoy the calmness and the fresh air in the mountain.

Later we will have lunch in Kovachevitsa village. There we will taste the delicious local food, served in cosy atmosphere. This trip is a wonderful opportunity for keen photographers. You can take photos of the beauty of the Rhodope Mountains and the traditional village houses in the area.

Also it is interesting to know that mostly Muslim people live in these villages. They are the largest religious minority in Bulgaria, 8 per cent of the total population. So learn their story and why they live in this part of Bulgaria.

In the late afternoon we leave the wonderful Rhodope Mountains and we drive back to Sofia. Drop you off at your hotel or hostel in Sofia.
