Sofia private walking tour
During our walking tour we will visit St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and St Sofia church. These are the two most important churches in Sofia. Your private tour guide will explain you about Orthodox Christianity. Next stop will be the local Flea market. Here you could buy a regular souvenir or buy an expensive antique. It is all there for you.
Next, we continue with the Russian church, the former Royal Palace and the National Theater Ivan Vazov which is located in a nice city park. Next to the governmental buildings while they were building our metro, they found by chance Roman ruins. We will see St Sofia statue and temples of different religions: Banya bashi mosque, The Synagogue and St Nedelya church. In Sofia we are missing only a Buddhist temple. We will see the mineral water spring in the center. Local people go there with empty bottles and fill them free of charge.
In the end, we will go to Vitosha Blvd, the main shopping pedestrian street in Sofia. Optional visit to the Women’s market and/or The Central Sofia Market Hall.
Sofia private tour by car
Sofia private tour could also be organized by car. This way we could visit Boyana church which is under UNESCO protection. If you are a history lover, we recommend that we visit the National History Museum, Sofia History Museum or the Archaeological Museum in the city center. In both of them you would see some of the ancient Thracian gold treasures. In addition, at the foot of the mountain is also the Bells monument.
