The Lavender festival is one of the truly beautiful celebrations in Bulgaria. The festival is dedicated to beauty and herbs, summer and the aroma of the Bulgarian lavender. The festival takes place for the first time in 2015 and welcomes more and more tourists each year. In the festive day our Rose valley is full of beauty, positive vibes, dances, songs and lavender aroma.
Lavender festival in Bulgaria
The day begins in early morning when Bulgarian women in traditional costumes welcome guests with round festive bread, salt and give as gift some lavender. Kukeri and singers enchant the fields with their colorful costumes and rhythms.
From the lavender fields the celebration continues to the Museum house of flowers and herbs. The lavender fairy welcomes the guests. In another museum house we will see the process of lavender boiling. Here we will taste products made of lavender.
In the center of the town there are traditional Bulgarian dances, songs and happy atmosphere.
